Margie
Hartley is an independent facilitator and coach who brings to Coaching
Australia a wealth of experience
across range of creative
business fields. Her
outstanding record in communication and leadership brings a plethora of experience
and knowledge to her coaching and facilitation clients.
Before beginning
her coaching and facilitation career Margie worked in the
creative arts. As the Director and General Manager of the Melbourne
International Comedy
Festival in the early-90's Margie was given the task of resurrecting
the ailing Festival which had lost government and corporate support.
By creating a new business
plan and uniting the many diverse stakeholders of the Festival, Margie
was able to steer them forward to a common success. It is now
one of the world's top three
comedy festivals.
Margie has also worked in
television as an executive producer, specialising
in comedy, and in live entertainment as the national advertising
and publicity manager
for Michael Edgley International where she managed
a
ten million dollar advertising budget. Margie began her career
in Book Publishing.
Success in a variety of
fields has come with Margie's uncanny ability to
transfer her natural and developed skill base. She relishes challenges
and problem
solving
but most of all gains enormous satisfaction and enjoyment
from interacting and learning with people. One of her most
challenging jobs ever was
as a European Tour guide leading groups of 50 people
throughout Europe over 40 days!
Margie is able to fulfil
one of her key values through a strong voluntary commitment
to her local community.
Margie is a creative thinker and is
uniquely good at teaching others through experiences. She
believes that because success
has different meanings for different
people that the key to personal success is in understanding yourself.
