WORKPLACE COACHING
"The goal of coaching is the goal of good management - to
make the most of an organisation's valuable resources" -
Harvard Business Review
Coaching is now recognised as the critical platform for successful
organisational change and learning initiatives.
Today's
knowledge-driven economy makes it unrealistic for organisations to impart
the necessary
data through directive channels e.g.
instructing, training and consulting, at
the required rate to combat the constantly and rapidly
changing business environment. Coaching provides a structure and instills
accountability in the individual to seek their
own answers to personal peak performance, increasing
the
individual's ability and focus to self-manage.
The trend towards
the de-layering of organisations, by reducing the number of management
levels, and importance of cross-functional
teams, increases the reliance of optimum
performance and accountability of each individual. Successful
businesses are those that encourage people to be accountable
to learning new skills and habits from each other, have
strong communication
skills and have an environment which supports the cross-pollination
of ideas.

outcome is for the Leaders to understand and be able to communicate like
a coach, or to be able to operate as a formal coach within the
organisation.
The Coaches/ Leaders develop increasingly strong leadership, relationship and
communication skills. These are highly practical skills which can be leveraged by the
individual constantly. The underlying core
themes of accountability, increased self-awareness and improved communication contribute
to the occurrence of positive cultural shifts.

- A programme delivered in workshop format that focuses on
helping the team and individuals create goals and action plans and
understanding the impact of their actions on
themselves, their team-mates, their Club and their Code. The key
underlying themes revolve around each individual recognising their
accountability and responsibility to their outcomes - and that their
success, or not, is their choice.
-
"The Leadership Choice"- A
programme delivered in workshop format designed to have each individual
recognise that they are a leader, given that each of them influences the
actions of others in the team, whether that be a positive or negative
influence. It allows the team to identify the negative leadership
behaviours affecting their team, and a confidential forum to address
them.
Key behaviours
that have been successfully shifted through this programme include lack of
confidence, issues with coaches, lack of focus, inappropriate partying,
poor communication (verbal and body language) with peers, and
blaming and arguing within the team. Increased accountability results
within each individual and across the team, as all players create goals
